Hi John,
I come to you today full of hope and momentum after yesterday's election results. In local races across Texas β including our endorsed race in Cy-Fair ISD β pro-truth, pro-public education candidates won big .
More on the election later this week, I promise. But today, we need your support on another key fight [[link removed]] . The State Board of Education (SBOE) recently appointed David Barton, a hyper-partisan, phony "historian" with no formal training , and two other people with troubling conflicts of interest, David Randall and Jordan Adams , as content advisors to help with the overhaul of the social studies standards between now and June 2026. These standards will guide what students learn in their history, government, and other social studies classrooms over the next decade.

The appointments of these controversial figures to the advisory board suggest an effort to push a political agenda, not give students the education they deserve. We've had enough. It's time to fight to teach the truth!

State board members should withdraw these three appointments and replace them with qualified experts focused on teaching the truth, not hyper-partisan activists focused on political agendas. The advisory boardβs appointment process should be transparent, fair, and above all representative of the entire state of Texas. Sign and share far and wide! [[link removed]]
Apply to Join an SBOE Curriculum Work Group [[link removed]]
SBOE Curriculum Work Groups will play an influential role in the process by making recommendations and drafting revisions to the curriculum. You don't need prior curriculum-writing experience β just time and desire for students to learn the truth. The SBOE needs diverse voices, parents, community members, and professionals from all backgrounds. Sign up here for more information and instructions on how to apply. [[link removed]]
Students deserve a truthful, well-rounded education. Join us as we fight to keep political interests OUT of our schools!
