Prince William County’s Department of Social Services has opened applications for the 2025–2026 Fuel Assistance Program to help income-eligible households manage winter heating costs. Residents can apply online, by phone or in person by Nov. 14, 2025, for help covering electricity, gas, oil and other heating expenses.

Prince William County has modernized its private towing process with the launch of Autura, a new online system that lets residents quickly search for and locate towed vehicles without calling the public safety communications center. *Chinn Park Library to Close for Renovation to Enhance Small Business Resources*

Chinn Park Library will close for renovations beginning Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 5 p.m., and is expected to reopen in summer 2026 with exciting new spaces and resources to support small businesses and entrepreneurs. During the renovation, a temporary library will operate in the Trustee Conference Room on the lower level, open Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., starting January 20, 2026.
