While everyone else is carving pumpkins, Washington’s been carving up
paychecks.

For 29 days, families across Texas have been haunted by uncertainty — 130,000
federal workers furloughed, projects on hold, and millions wondering how long
this shutdown will last.

I didn’t come to Congress to play political games.

I came here to get things done.

Our October month-end fundraising deadline is approaching, and I need your
help to hit our goal and send a message loud enough to wake Congress up: Texans
are done with the games.
