Who needs wild things and wild places in Texas? Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) believes we all do, and so do the many Texans who have decided to leave a wild legacy for Texas through their estate plan, including:

The late *Georgian Wavle* [ [link removed] ] of Corpus Christi, whose lifelong love of birds inspired her to include a significant *planned gift to TPWF* [ [link removed] ], which has since supported the permanent protection of hundreds of acres of vanishing grassland bird habitat.

*Steve Boles and Vicki Giere* [ [link removed] ] of San Marcos, who are encouraging more women to get involved in conservation careers by establishing the Women in Conservation Science Scholarship Program with TPWF through a cash gift to support scholars now, and a *planned gift* [ [link removed] ] so the program can continue after their lifetimes.

The late *William J. “Bill” Hill* [ [link removed] ], a sixth-generation Texan and lifelong Houston resident who *left a legacy gift to TPWF* [ [link removed] ] through his estate, which recently helped fund the capital renovation of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) in Athens. His evergreen legacy will live on through the tens of thousands of school children, families, and aspiring anglers that pass through TFFC’s doors each year.

*Adelia Hale-Stanley* [ [link removed] ] of Arlington, who plans to *leave a lasting gift* [ [link removed] ] to TPWF to help conserve the natural landscapes of North Central Texas that she loves long after she is gone.

These are just a few of the growing number of Texans who have made a planned gift through TPWF to benefit our wild things and wild places. As we celebrate National Estate Planning Awareness week, TPWF invites you to learn more [ [link removed] ] about how you, too, can make a planned gift today to ensure many wild Texas tomorrows.

*Join the John Graves Legacy Society*

As a beloved Texas writer, John shared his own love of Texas’ wild things and wild places with thousands of readers and gave voice to the urgent need to protect Texas’ unique landscape. This is why there is no better namesake for a group dedicated to conserving the outdoors of Texas for future generations: "The John Graves Legacy Society" [ [link removed] ]." "

The John Graves Legacy Society honors individuals who have made a planned gift [ [link removed] ] to TPWF through their will or estate plan. These special supporters are committed to conserving Texas' lands, waters and wildlife for the future and want their legacy to reflect this commitment.

Just as John Graves inspired countless individuals to take an active role in the stewardship of our wild things and wild places, so too can a planned gift to TPWF impact the future of conservation in Texas.

Please become a member of the John Graves Legacy Society [ [link removed] ] by including TPWF in your estate plan. No gift amount is too small. If you have already done so, your willingness to be recognized as a member of TPWF’s John Graves Legacy Society inspires others to follow your example. (Photo credit:" Wyman Meinzer)."
