Who needs wild things and wild places in Texas? Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) believes we all do, and so do the many Texans who have decided to leave a wild legacy for Texas through their estate plan, including:
The late Georgian Wavle of Corpus Christi, whose lifelong love of birds inspired her to include a significant planned gift to TPWF, which has since supported the permanent protection of hundreds of acres of vanishing grassland bird habitat.
Steve Boles and Vicki Giere of San Marcos, who are encouraging more women to get involved in conservation careers by establishing the Women in Conservation Science Scholarship Program with TPWF through a cash gift to support scholars now, and a planned gift so the program can continue after their lifetimes.
The late William J. “Bill” Hill, a sixth-generation Texan and lifelong Houston resident who left a legacy gift to TPWF through his estate, which recently helped fund the capital renovation of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) in Athens. His evergreen legacy will live on through the tens of thousands of school children, families, and aspiring anglers that pass through TFFC’s doors each year.
Adelia Hale-Stanley of Arlington, who plans to leave a lasting gift to TPWF to help conserve the natural landscapes of North Central Texas that she loves long after she is gone.
