John, it’s not too late to fix this. The Republican General Assembly has woefully underfunded our state’s Medicaid program, forcing devastating cuts to the program.

North Carolinians need GOP legislators to do their job, fully fund Medicaid, and reverse their cuts so that people can get the care they need. Lawmakers have just returned to Raleigh for the legislative session, and I’m asking you to speak out immediately. Will you stand with me and demand that they fund North Carolina’s Medicaid program? If the legislature continues on a path of inaction and these cuts continue, folks will not be able to receive the care they need. North Carolinians will get sick. Rural health care providers will shut down. Our communities will suffer.

And Medicaid doesn’t benefit only the people who are covered under the program. Medicaid dollars help keep our entire health care system functioning by supporting rural hospitals and boosting our economy.
