My family moved here from India when I was a baby in search of the American Dream. I grew up in Peoria, Illinois as a racial, religious, and ethnic minority immigrant kid with 29 letters in my name.

My parents worked incredibly hard to give us a better life, and even though we had some tough times, this great country allowed us to live the American Dream.
