Greg Abbott is running for a fourth term as governor.

For the last 12 years, he’s made it his mission to push Texas further into
extremism—from stripping away health care access to attacking voting
rights. He hasn’t fought for everyday Texans; he only cares about himself
and his wealthy allies.

Here’s a quick snapshot of Abbott’s record:

* Sought to fine Democrats and remove them from office when they fought
back against Trump’s power grab during the Republican-led
redistricting scheme.
* Blocked Medicaid expansion, leaving millions of Texans without
affordable health care in the least insured state.
* Enacted the nation’s most extreme abortion ban that has no exception
for rape or incest.
* Suppressed voting rights through new ID requirements and limits on
mail-in voting.
* Defunded public education by taking tax dollars out of public schools
and sending them to private schools.
* Signed a bill that mandates the display of the Ten Commandments in
every public school classroom.
* Enacted a dangerous permitless carry law that allows Texans to carry a
loaded gun in public without a background check, training, or permit.

But this is our opportunity to flip the script.

Powered by People is building grassroots power in every part of Texas that
can defeat Abbott next year. By organizing communities, registering
voters, and mobilizing Texans statewide, we can block Abbott from a fourth
term in office and elect leaders throughout the state who fight for all
Texans—not just a wealthy few.
