Team,
It’s an exciting launch day for our Lieutenant Governor! She just released her first-ever episode of AD&U, a new social media video series in which she interviews owners of accessory dwelling units around the state.
Please help us spread the word by sharing AD&U on Facebook [[link removed]] , Instagram [[link removed]] and Bluesky [[link removed]] .
[link removed] [[link removed]] What is an ADU?
Sometimes called an “in-law apartment,” an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) is a small residential living space located on the same lot as another home. ADUs can play a significant role in our housing shortage, which is why they were made legal in every corner of the Commonwealth as part of the landmark Affordable Homes Act that Governor Healey signed into law last year.
What’s next for AD&U?
Kim interviewed a mother and daughter in Salem and a married couple in Lexington. Follow Kim on social media to be the first to see episodes two and three!
Thanks for supporting Kim and AD&U! Let’s make sure every Massachusetts resident knows about the dozens of policy changes in the Affordable Homes Act that were made to bring down costs, increase the availability of reasonably priced homes, and give residents the tools they need to address their unique housing needs.
