Sometimes, I just don’t understand it, friends.

Texas Republicans have full control over the state government, and they’re still so mad . Instead of using their power to help Texan families, they lied, cheated, and grifted — and now they’re still just… angry.

But here’s the thing. I refuse to join them in the mud. I see joy everywhere — and JOY is what’s going to get us through this.

And friend, nothing brings me greater joy than bringing Texans into our movement. I love seeing folks knock doors for the first time, make friends while phone banking, or share queso and a couple of drinks at the end of a volunteer shift.

I firmly believe there is a place for everyone in the Democratic Party, and there’s always a way to make a difference, even now when the news in DC or Austin is looking pretty rough.
