Sometimes, I just don’t understand it, friends.
Texas Republicans have full control over the state government, and they’re still so mad. Instead of using their power to help Texan families, they lied, cheated, and grifted — and now they’re still just… angry.
But here’s the thing. I refuse to join them in the mud. I see joy everywhere — and JOY is what’s going to get us through this.
And friend, nothing brings me greater joy than bringing Texans into our movement. I love seeing folks knock doors for the first time, make friends while phone banking, or share queso and a couple of drinks at the end of a volunteer shift.
I firmly believe there is a place for everyone in the Democratic Party, and there’s always a way to make a difference, even now when the news in DC or Austin is looking pretty rough.
Right now, the biggest and most immediate way you can make a difference is by helping us hit our $20,000 additional FEC public end-of-quarter goal.
And here’s why it’s important: a lot of pissed off Republicans will be watching.
