NBC: Trump says he's moving Space Command HQ to Alabama because of Colorado's mail-in voting system

Donald Trump made clear that he does not care if his actions are legal or not. He announced that he’s moving Space Command headquarters from Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs to punish Colorado for conducting its elections through mail-in voting, which the U.S. Constitution authorizes us to do.

Colorado’s vote-by-mail system is safe, secure, and embraced by both Democrats and Republicans throughout the state. We will not be intimidated.

We are not a free country unless every eligible voter has the right to vote. As your Attorney General, I have prioritized the security of our elections and our democracy. As your Governor, I won’t back down from protecting you and your vote.
