Double Your Impact in the Fight with a Gift by Midnight
Tomorrow.
This World Alzheimer's Day, you have the chance to be part of
something big. Something global. Something that can change lives and
offer hope to generations to come. Thanks to our generous supporter,
Leone McKay, any gift you make - up to a total of $150,000
- can have double the impact. Her pledge is made in honor of her
late husband, Col. William P. McKay, whom she lost to Alzheimer's
disease, and will support vital research. Your gift can go 2X as far
toward advancing research and helping to provide care and support. We
only have until midnight tomorrow, and we urgently need you to stand
with us at this critical time. Will you make your first gift today
that can go 2X as far in the fight to end Alzheimer's?

U.S. POINTER Results Are In!
We're excited to report that results from U.S. POINTER -
a two-year clinical trial to evaluate whether lifestyle interventions
that simultaneously target many risk factors protect cognitive
function in older adults who are at risk for cognitive decline -
were presented at the 2025 Alzheimer's Association International
Conference
[link removed]
® (AAIC®), and the findings give us hope.
About the study:
* 2,111 older adults were enrolled in the study from five
different regions across the country. More than 30% of
participants were from groups that have been historically
underrepresented in dementia research.
* Participants were randomly assigned to either a self-guided or
structured lifestyle program. Both interventions focused on
increasing physical activity, improving nutrition, cognitive and
social challenge and health monitoring - but differed in
structure, accountability and support provided.
Results:
Cognitive function improved from baseline over the two years
for both intervention groups, but the improvement was greater for the
structured group. This extra benefit was similar across all subgroups
of U.S. POINTER participants.
The positive results of U.S. POINTER encourage us to look at
the potential for a combination of a lifestyle program and drug
treatment as the next frontier in our fight against cognitive decline
and dementia.
