The eucalyptus boom in Brazil’s Cerrado is destroying ecosystems and
displacing communities.

Fueled by Apple’s carbon offsetting efforts, this crisis puts Apple’s
"green" reputation at risk.

This is the tipping point.

By adding your name, you can force Apple to re-evaluate its flawed
environmental strategy and choose real solutions over greenwashing

John,

Brazil’s Cerrado is burning so Apple can call its phones “carbon-neutral.”
Fast-growing eucalyptus plantations, bankrolled by Apple’s offset budget,
are swallowing savanna, draining water tables, and uprooting communities
who have farmed here for generations. Even climate experts say the trees
store far less carbon than promised.

Apple markets itself as the company that “thinks different”. It's time to
prove it.

We have to pressure Apple to stop sacrificing people and ecosystems, and
only public outrage can force Apple to scrap this fake climate action.
Let's demand solutions that actually cut emissions.

Cerrado

Apple’s 2030 initiative, which aims for a net-zero carbon footprint, has
made it a central partner in the controversial carbon credit industry. The
problem is that projects often involve planting fast-growing, non-native
trees like eucalyptus in biodiverse ecosystems. These plantations act like
"water guzzlers," draining local springs and disrupting the livelihoods of
indigenous and smallholder communities. Apple’s reputation as a "green"
leader is on the line.

Apple stakes its reputation as a serious leader on climate change. But the
evidence is stacking up that these plantations have devastating social and
ecological side effects. This is not a sustainable solution; it's a
false-green smokescreen that sacrifices a vibrant ecosystem and its people
for a corporate PR win.

Apple’s quest for a green future cannot come at the cost of a humanitarian
and environmental crisis. Our collective power can dismantle the flawed
logic behind these projects and force corporations to confront their true
impact.

We’ve made one of the most valuable companies in the world take action.
With people power, we’ve made Apple create a human rights policy, commit
to freedom of expression, and have transparency on its supply chain to
prevent the use of forced labor. Together, we can do it again.
