During the meeting, we will discuss rapid response in Memphis regarding the upcoming deployment of federal troops to the city [[link removed]] . We will hear from people working on the ground about messaging and support that is needed. We will also discuss the recently-announced notice of funding opportunity from the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs’ Community-based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI), including a high-level overview of eligibility, priorities, timelines, and practical steps.
