During the meeting, we will discuss rapid response in Memphis regarding the upcoming deployment of federal troops to the city. We will hear from people working on the ground about messaging and support that is needed. We will also discuss the recently-announced notice of funding opportunity from the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs’ Community-based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI), including a high-level overview of eligibility, priorities, timelines, and practical steps.
