Good morning,
Jack
. I recently sat down to write something I’ve been wrestling with for a long time but that became unavoidable last week: the rising tide of political violence in our country.
In the piece, I talk about how we got here—the unholy mix of money and politics, grievance-driven campaigns, and a media ecosystem that thrives on division. But more importantly, I lay out what I believe we need to do to get back to good: listening more, seeing our neighbors as people first, and focusing on the things we all want—safe streets, good schools, affordable healthcare, and a fair shot for our families.

I’m proud of this piece because it’s honest. It’s not partisan spin—it’s the truth as I’ve seen it from my work in law enforcement and as a state representative.
But here’s the reality: putting these ideas into practice, and fighting for a politics that values decency over division, takes resources. If you believe, like I do, that we can build something better together, I’m asking you to contribute today ([link removed]) .
Every dollar helps me keep pushing for a politics that puts people first.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for standing with me.
- Mitch
