Good morning,
Jack
. I recently sat down to write something I’ve been wrestling with for a long time but that became unavoidable last week: the rising tide of political violence in our country.
In the piece, I talk about how we got here—the unholy mix of money and politics, grievance-driven campaigns, and a media ecosystem that thrives on division. But more importantly, I lay out what I believe we need to do to get back to good: listening more, seeing our neighbors as people first, and focusing on the things we all want—safe streets, good schools, affordable healthcare, and a fair shot for our families.
You can read the full op-ed here.
I’m proud of this piece because it’s honest. It’s not partisan spin—it’s the truth as I’ve seen it from my work in law enforcement and as a state representative.
But here’s the reality: putting these ideas into practice, and fighting for a politics that values decency over division, takes resources. If you believe, like I do, that we can build something better together, I’m asking you to contribute today.
Every dollar helps me keep pushing for a politics that puts people first.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for standing with me.
- Mitch
