[Surfers Against Sewage logo <[link removed]>] John, did you follow the epic Thames swim this week? [<[link removed]>] 8 elite athletes. 3 days of endurance. 200km+ of swimming. One clear message to government: we must end sewage pollution now. This week, the Thames Swim Against Sewage made waves across the nation — and the press. With MPs returning from summer recess this week, we wanted to make sure our demand for clean water was waiting for them at Westminster. 😉 [See what happened <[link removed]>] [<[link removed]>] What went down? 🏊‍♀️ The team powered through a nonstop relay — day and night, battling exhaustion, sore muscles and dodgy stomachs. A truly epic feat of endurance in the fight for clean water. 💩 But the biggest obstacle wasn’t physical. At Slough, Henley and Marlow, we spotted CSOs spewing sewage on [our live map <[link removed]>] , forcing the swimmers to stop. Special s hout-out to Thames Water for the perfectly timed live demonstration of why we need to end sewage pollution. Couldn’t have staged it better ourselves. ✊ The journey finished with an overwhelming surge of people power: a flotilla of kayaks and a boat leading the swimmers from Putney to Westminster. A defiant call that it’s time to end the sewage scandal once and for all. [See all the action <[link removed]>]
Help us fight sewage pollution This isn't just about the Thames. It's about every river, every coastline, every swim and surf spot across the UK.
The swimmers braved filthy waters to show what’s at stake .
Now we need you to pile on the pressure where it counts. ✊ Will you take 30 seconds to email your local political rep, John? [Fire off a quick email now <[link removed]>]
