Legislators call for low-income fares / PPT Election Season / 1000+ Masks Distributed to Transit Riders Local Legislators Call On Port Authority to Implement Emergency Low-income Fare Program Low-income essential workers keep us all moving. Now we have to keep them moving with an emergency low-income fare program for Allegheny County. Enormous shoutout to the 19+ City, County, and State elected leaders led by Bethany Hallam, At-large Allegheny County Council-member, who've called for Port Authority to implement an emergency low-income fare program. Everyone deserves to access food, healthcare and jobs, and particularly our Black, Brown and low-income communities that have been hardest hit by the economic and health consequences of the pandemic.
