John, this isn’t what we’re fighting for.

The Raleigh News & Observer
“A new law will allow NC private schools to arm teachers.”

Donate now to help educators keep our schools and communities SAFE from gun violence. [[link removed]]

Last month, North Carolina lawmakers overrode a veto on a law that will allow teachers, employees, and volunteers at NC private schools to carry firearms on campus.

This isn’t the answer to the problem, John. And this bill is just one of the many that are flooding state legislatures.

Let’s be clear – arming teachers is dangerous and unethical. It doesn't make schools safer, and it doesn’t prevent tragedies. And educators across the country are fighting for common-sense solutions that will make our schools safer, but lawmakers often leave teachers out of the conversation.

Teachers Unify is fighting for a seat at the table. Educators are directly on the frontlines of this epidemic, so we know how to address the problem. Our voices are critical and necessary in the fight to save lives.

We’re organizing everyday to be a voice in this movement, but we can’t do this alone. Fighting back costs dearly – and we’re teachers, not fundraisers. So we have to ask for your help right now, as more laws are being proposed nationwide.

Will you donate $25, or whatever you can, to Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence to help continue to fight for a seat at the table? >> [[link removed]]
