Friend,
Congress might be out of Washington in August, but that doesn’t mean our race to flip the House is stopping.
Here’s the latest from HQ:
Republicans are using delay tactics on BBB to hide the truth. They know kicking people off healthcare is unpopular, so their spending bill -- the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the ultra-rich in U.S. history -- won’t take effect until after the 2026 midterms. We can’t let voters forget what they’ve done.
Meanwhile, Republicans support of Trump’s tariffs is hurting Illinois families right now. I’m committed to bringing American manufacturing back to IL-17, but we’re not going to do it by jacking up prices of basic needs. Small businesses and families are paying for these stupid tariffs – and I’m working every day to stop them.
We need a Congress that works for the people, not just the richest 1%. And on the campaign trail, it’s our job to show voters there’s a better way forward. But as you know, it takes resources to break through the noise:
Tonight at midnight is our mid-quarter fundraising deadline, and we need $10,000 before 11:59 to stay on track. If you’re with me, chip in now to help hold the GOP accountable, spark the blue wave in the Midwest, and flip the House for working families.
