Congress might be out of Washington in August, but that doesn’t mean our race to flip the House is stopping.
Here’s the latest from HQ:
- Republicans are using delay tactics on BBB to hide the truth. They know kicking people off healthcare is unpopular, so their spending bill -- the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the ultra-rich in U.S. history -- won’t take effect until after the 2026 midterms. We can’t let voters forget what they’ve done.
- Meanwhile, Republicans support of Trump’s tariffs is hurting Illinois families right now. I’m committed to bringing American manufacturing back to IL-17, but we’re not going to do it by jacking up prices of basic needs. Small businesses and families are paying for these stupid tariffs – and I’m working every day to stop them.
We need a Congress that works for the people, not just the richest 1%. And on the campaign trail, it’s our job to show voters there’s a better way forward. But as you know, it takes resources to break through the noise:
