*LA County Joins Unified Command to Respond to Canyon Fire in Northern LA County and Ventura County*

*"Mandatory evacuations underway in some areas and residents in nearby areas warned to be prepared to evacuate"*

LA County is currently responding to a wildfire burning in northern Los Angeles County and Ventura County. The Canyon Fire is currently 1,052 acres and is burning towards Castaic.

The following areas, shown on the map above in dark blue, are currently under an evacuation order and residents are urged to leave immediately:


* CAS-ROMERO
* CAS-HASLEY
* CAS-OAKCANYON
* CAS-VALVERDE

The following areas are currently under an evacuation warning, shown in yellow, and residents should prepare to evacuate if necessary:


* CAS-INDUSTRY
* CAS-CAMBRIDGE
* CAS-HILLCREST
* CAS-SLOAN
* CAS-GREENHILL
* CAS-GOLDENSTATE-B
