Last Sunday afternoon, Texas Democrats hopped on a plane and fled TX to break quorum in order to stop Republicans from stealing the 2026 midterm elections. Some of these Texas Democrats even stopped by next door right here in New Mexico [[link removed]] last week.
After Donald Trump demanded that Texas Republicans redraw their state maps to ensure Republicans can cheat their way to 5 more congressional seats, Texas Democrats sprung into action to ensure that Trump doesn’t get his way.
New Mexico Democrats stand with our next door neighbor Texas Democrats trying to defend our democracy and the future of fair elections.
We’re asking our supporters to also stand with Texas Democrats.
