We’re wishing a very happy birthday to the Affordable Homes Act which was signed into law this week last year!
[link removed] [[link removed]] While it may only be a toddler, the Affordable Homes Act is already having a major impact. Just yesterday, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced [[link removed]] that in the last two years, more than 90,000 new housing units have been completed or are set to enter development — thousands of which can be attributed to the Affordable Homes Act.
Wish the Affordable Homes Act a Happy Birthday on social media! With 90,000 new homes, the Healey-Driscoll administration is just getting started but we need your help to keep the momentum going!

Big Things Happening
[link removed] [[link removed]] Big news for housing costs: Last week, the state put an end to renter-paid broker's fees. The ban, which Governor Healey filed, was passed by the Legislature and signed into law as part of the FY26 budget proposal, now requires the fee to be paid by whoever hires the broker, which is usually the landlord.
Prior to this change, renters were often forced to put down as much as $10,000 before even moving into an apartment. Eliminating renter-paid broker fees is a major win in our efforts to tackle housing affordability! Make sure to thank the Governor and your legislators!
