At Trump’s order, Greg Abbott called a special legislative session to
redraw Texas’ congressional districts—years before the next census. If
they succeed, they could steal up to five Democratic-held seats from blue
to red and hold on to the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Texas Democrats in the legislature are standing up for democracy and
working to stop Trump and Abbott from rigging the system in their favor.
They are breaking quorum in an attempt to deny Republicans the ability to
pass these new maps.

But everyone across the
country needs to be in this fight with them. We must meet
this moment to make sure millions of Texans keep their representation, and
