A Vision of Connection and Collaboration

As we shared in the spring, Ginger Mullaney officially began her role as CEO of Healthy Futures of Texas on July 1st. With deep experience in health education, systems change, and adolescent well-being, Ginger has hit the ground running. She has been connecting with community partners, aligning our strategic priorities, and continuing to elevate youth voice as a driving force behind our work.

In her first weeks, Ginger has emphasized collaboration, innovation, and local impact as cornerstones of our next chapter. One of her first major initiatives is the launch of our new online learning platform, [HFTX Classroom]([link removed]), which equips youth-serving professionals with tools and training to lead sexual health education in their communities. Learn more in our [press release]([link removed]) and [Q&A with Ginger]([link removed]) on the blog.

With expanded resources, deeper partnerships, and a renewed focus on community impact, we’re already seeing this transition spark meaningful momentum. As Ginger shared, “Young people and their communities deserve more than just to be heard—they should be truly listened to. Our work must reflect the realities they face and center the partnerships that support them.”

Stay tuned. This is only the beginning.

We’re excited to announce the launch of [HFTX Classroom]([link removed]), our new online learning platform designed to equip youth-serving professionals with the knowledge and confidence to lead sexual health education in their communities.

Built on our decades of experience in health education, HFTX Classroom offers a growing library of interactive, self-paced courses on topics like puberty, healthy relationships, building support for sex ed in your community, and how to respond to students’ questions with care and confidence.

The platform is designed with flexibility in mind, offering both free and paid options, continuing education credits, and content tailored for educators, healthcare providers, and youth program staff.

As part of the Healthy Futures community, you’re eligible for $10 off any module now through September 30, 2025 with the code LAUNCH10 at checkout. From the lasting effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to gaps in our health and education systems, this piece highlights why trauma-informed approaches are not just important but essential.
