******Governor Parson to Attend Faurecia Press Conference, Promote Fast Track Launch******

*(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) *Friday, August 23, 2019, Governor Mike Parson will travel to events in Blue Springs, Kansas City, West Plains, and Springfield.

Friday morning, Governor Parson will attend a press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony in Blue Springs for Faurecia, one of the worlds leading automotive technology companies. The new 250,000 square-foot interiors manufacturing facility represents a $60 million investment and has already created over 200 jobs.

Friday afternoon, Governor Parson will travel with Department of Higher Education Commissioner Zora Mulligan to promote the launch of Fast Track, a new financial aid program that addresses workforce needs by encouraging adults to pursue degrees in high-demand fields.

Governor Parson and Commissioner Mulligan will visit and speak at Metropolitan Community College (MCC), Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-West Plains), and Ozark Technical College (OTC).
