of 11 climate activists in courtroom in Uganda
   John, they
were jailed for protesting a pipeline.
11 climate activists in Uganda were arrested and imprisoned for 85 days
for peacefully delivering a petition calling on a bank to stop funding the
East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP).
For nearly three months, our global movement rallied. We raised our
voices, demanded justice, and refused to let these brave activists be
   forgotten.
And just a few days ago, they were finally granted bail.
They are free today because people like you showed up.
But this won’t be the last time climate activists are criminalized for
speaking out in the fight to stop EACOP.

   That’s why I’m asking:
   [ [link removed] ]Can
you make a contribution today to support frontline climate organizers in
Uganda, across Africa, and around the world?
Your gift will help fund new trainings, security, legal support, and
organizing power where it’s needed most.
   And here’s something amazing,
John: The activists who spent 85 days in
prison? They’re not giving up. In fact, they’re just getting started.

These climate activists are planning even bigger and bolder actions to
stop this pipeline — and everyday people all over the region are joining
them. They’re putting everything on the line — and they’re counting on us
   to stand with them.

a contribution today to show your solidarity with climate defenders around
   the world.
   In solidarity,
