Good news, Friend.

Our fight to end puppy mill cruelty has reached a milestone well worth celebrating: 500 localities across the United States have banned the sale of puppy mill puppies in pet shops!

That’s 500 cities, towns and counties that have joined together to make a lasting difference for vulnerable puppies and dogs. These changes will save countless lives and help end the physical and emotional suffering inflicted by commercial breeding operations. But we can’t afford to lose momentum now. Donate to Humane World Action Fund, formerly Humane Society Legislative Fund, before our July 31 deadline and your gift will be DOUBLED, up to $15,000, to help advance our work to protect innocent dogs and puppies and end cruelty toward animals everywhere!

This wave of humane pet store laws spans 31 states, friend, and eight bans have been passed at the state level! That’s a major show of support for animal welfare across communities of all political leanings and all backgrounds. But our fight isn’t over.

Recently, we’ve seen major pushback from corporations like Petland and their lobbyists to overturn these state-level protections because their business model depends on allowing puppy mills to operate without accountability. We know these corporations are on the wrong side of history, and, with the support of over 400 pet stores nationwide, we can continue to advocate for lasting change.

This is what Humane World Action Fund does best—use every tool in our toolbox to end animal cruelty and suffering for good. We are working on the state and federal level to tackle this problem by not only pushing for animal protection policies, but ensuring we have lawmakers in office who will champion these bills. But your support is crucial to our success, Friend.

We’re counting on your generosity today to help ensure that lawmakers treat animal welfare as an urgent issue and take action to protect innocent puppies and dogs nationwide. So please, before our match deadline on July 31: Make a donation to help stop abuse and neglect in puppy mills and end cruelty for all animals who need us.

P.S. Any funds raised over $15,000 will not be matched but will still help to pass animal protection legislation and elect humane candidates to office.
