John,
Pepsi is walking back its commitment to use less plastic.[1]
Even as plastic production, waste and pollution accelerate, the company is weakening or eliminating plastic reduction goals it set just four years ago.
People consume Pepsi products more than 1 billion times a day.[2] Imagine all of the plastic bottles and containers tossed away once those products are consumed.
Pepsi can and should do more to reduce plastic pollution. Will you add your name to help convince the company to recommit to its goals?

Business as usual just won't cut it, not with plastic pollution rapidly increasing year after year.
Four years ago, in response to consumer and shareholder demand, Pepsi committed to take some small, but not insignificant steps to phase out plastic and switch to reusable, compostable and recyclable alternatives.
But now, Pepsi is going back on that commitment, slashing many of its plastic goals.
By recommitting, Pepsi would:
* deliver 20% of all beverages sold in reusable models by 2030,
* reduce its use of virgin plastic 20% by 2030, and
* make all of its packaging 100% recyclable, compostable, biodegradable or reusable by 2025.[3]
For the sake of our families, our neighborhoods and our environment, we're urging Pepsi to recommit to reducing plastic. Send a message today.

The more plastic is used by companies like Pepsi, the more plastic ends up along our beaches and rivers, roadways and parks, even in the stomachs of wild animals and throughout our own bodies.[4] It's an eyesore, a health hazard and a threat to our environment and our health.
Of course, companies like Pepsi have to address their bottom line. But the plastic pollution crisis also demands action -- including a transition away from single-use plastic.
That's why we're asking Pepsi to recommit to reducing plastic waste. Will you add your name to our call to action today?

Thank you for taking action,
