* *Application deadline:* Aug. 4, 2025
* *Summary:* DHS encourages HCBS employment and day service providers to apply for MTI’s technical assistance cohort for September 2025 through July 2026.

 

EIDBI background study requirement updates [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* EIDBI providers
* *Effective date:* Aug. 5, 2025
* *Summary:* Effective Aug. 5, 2025, EIDBI agencies and providers must have a completed DHS background study through NETStudy 2.0 with an eligible or set-aside result before they provide services.

 

DWRS compensation thresholds tracking delay [ [link removed] ]

* *Audience:* Disability waiver service providers
* *Summary:* The 2025 Minnesota Legislature passed a change to the DWRS compensation thresholds policy to delay implementation until Jan. 1, 2029. DHS will begin to track compensation thresholds policy compliance during the 2030 DWRS cost reporting period.

* *Summary:* DHS Licensing and Disability Services divisions will host a webinar about how organizations can support direct support professionals in their efforts to implement positive supports, person-centered practices and skills needed to meet 245D requirements.
