We are still buzzing with excitement from our 4th all it takes is ONE ACT play festival at Playwrights Horizons, featuring the three winning plays from our annual playwriting contest about reproductive justice: Getting Attachedby A.M. Palson (First Place), All the Things She Never Said by Sophie Goldstein (Second Place), and Safe Houseby Kendall Grenolds (Third Place.)
Claire Karpen’s illuminating direction brought these moving and entertaining stories to life with a fantastic cast including Isa Arraiza, b, Anthony Crane, Florencia
Lozano, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Emma Pfitzer Price, Gabriela Torres, Daniel Velez, and Hennessy Winkler. And Trae Banuelos-Rovaris facilitated a thoughtful and engaging post-show talkback with the playwrights about their creative process and the importance of making art about reproductive justice in this moment.
100% of the proceeds from the night’s event will support A is For’s Beneficiaries Program, which provides financial assistance each month to an abortion access or reproductive justice organization working to make real change in their communities.
There is still time to donate to the A is For Beneficiaries Program! This year we will cross the $300K threshold in giving to organizations in need all across the country. Won’t you please help us meet that goal, and stand up for abortion rights?
