Hi there,
For more than three years, EnviroVoters and other stakeholders have been making progress toward a new rule that would lower port emissions in Southern California.
Now, a bill that's coming up for a vote in the legislature would prevent local regulators from making rules like this one—undoing years of hard work in our fight for clean air. If it passes next week, this bill would weaken our clean air protections, undermine our public health, and increase costs for Californians already struggling with an affordability crisis.
Will you fill out our quick one-minute form to email your representative to make sure they vote NO on this bill to stop it from undermining the clean air we breathe?

Normally, when we ask you to send a message to your legislator, we're asking for their support on a bill that will move California forward on climate progress. This time is different—we need to put a stop to this bill (SB 34 - Richardson) to prevent it from undermining vital protections against air pollution in the places with the worst air quality.
If legislators pass this bill into law, it would shift costs to the state, weaken air quality protections, and ultimately cost California taxpayers millions—with less accountability for polluters.
Help us defend years of hard work fighting for clean air by signing this email form to call on your representative to vote NO on this bill.
With widespread support from EnviroVoters like you, we're confident that we can stand up for clean air to protect California's communities.
Thanks so much,
