We invite you to attend any of our upcoming Governor's Small Business Summits! These Summits aim to help small business owners reach new heights by connecting them with the resources and information needed to start, strengthen and grow a business.

The events offer a variety of sessions bringing together local, state and federal resource partners to provide key insights on critical business topics. It's also an opportunity to network with other business owners and meet experts who will share timely, relevant and actionable advice on a multitude of small business subjects.

Governor's Small Business Summit — Rockport-Fulton

Governor Abbott launched his Small Business Freedom Council in December 2024 to recommend to the Texas Legislature the elimination of unnecessary rules, fees and regulations that create barriers to small business growth and creation in Texas. And in April, Governor Abbott signed Senate Bill 14 — also known as Texas DOGE — into law creating the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office. From the Freedom Council's recommendations, this law will ensure Texas remains the best state for businesses of all sizes. But what does that mean to you as a small or aspiring business owner?
