Hi folks, by now, I’m sure you’ve seen the news: Trump has recklessly decided to bring the United States into conflict with Iran.

His decision is outrageous in so many ways — but let’s start with this: It’s unconstitutional.

Congress must be consulted and authorize military action before the President can order it, but last night, Trump decided the rules don’t apply to him.

We can’t let this violation of our Constitution go unchallenged. That’s why I’m asking you to join me in doing just that by adding your name to my grassroots petition condemning Trump’s attack on Iran right away. Can I count on you? >> [[link removed]]

Trump’s unconstitutional action risks a broader, unauthorized conflict.

The intelligence committees were not briefed. Congress was not consulted. And the American people’s elected representatives were left completely blindsided.

That should concern all Americans. Preventing a nuclear Iran must involve strong diplomacy, not unconstitutional shadow wars conducted at Donald Trump’s whim.

Join me in calling out Trump’s destructive recklessness by adding your name to my petition condemning the bombing of Iran. We need to stand together at this pivotal moment. >> [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Robert
