John,
With the Senate set to vote on a War Powers Resolution today to prevent
the United States from waging a war with Iran, and so many members of
Congress in the pockets of AIPAC and the corporate defense contractors,
it’s clear we need to send more anti-war voices to Washington.
The Democratic primary in Michigan’s 13th congressional district is one of
our first opportunities to do just that.
Here’s how our progressive, working-class candidate Donavan McKinney
responded to U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict:

reads: 'If I was in Congress right now, I would vote for this bipartisan
War Powers Resolution. Only Congress can declare war & this district does
not want to see our troops, weapons, or taxpayer dollars go to another
endless war abroad. Our community needs leaders who put us first.'
And here’s how sitting Congressman Shri Thanedar responded:

(@RepShriThanedar). The post reads: 'Iran has been sponsoring terrorism in
the Middle East and beyond for decades, providing substantial support to
proxies like Hamas. Their acquisition of a nuclear weapon is a red line
for the US and Israel, and these preemptive strikes are necessary for its
self-defense and global security. Iran should permanently commit to halt
their nuclear program entirely to bring a swift end to this conflict.'
Despite a vast majority of voters on both sides of the aisle opposing this
potential war, Shri is pushing the same AIPAC talking points as
establishment Democrats and Republicans — it’s the same old status quo.
Donavan on the other hand is committed to voting to stop more unnecessary,
deadly wars in the Middle East, and investing in our communities here at
home.

and give Donavan the grassroots resources needed to defeat this Do-Nothing
Democrat in the 2026 primary: split a donation between his campaign and
