John,
With the Senate set to vote on a War Powers Resolution today to prevent the United States from waging a war with Iran, and so many members of Congress in the pockets of AIPAC and the corporate defense contractors, it’s clear we need to send more anti-war voices to Washington.
The Democratic primary in Michigan’s 13th congressional district is one of our first opportunities to do just that.
Here’s how our progressive, working-class candidate Donavan McKinney responded to U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict:
And here’s how sitting Congressman Shri Thanedar responded:
Despite a vast majority of voters on both sides of the aisle opposing this potential war, Shri is pushing the same AIPAC talking points as establishment Democrats and Republicans — it’s the same old status quo.
Donavan on the other hand is committed to voting to stop more unnecessary, deadly wars in the Middle East, and investing in our communities here at home.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
