Strike Set Back Iran’s Nuclear Program by Only a Few Months

A preliminary classified U.S. report says the American bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites sealed off the entrances to two of the facilities but did not collapse their underground buildings, according to officials familiar with the findings. The early findings conclude that the strikes over the weekend set back Iran’s nuclear program by only a few months, as the NYT reports

Iran, which is subject to a harsh international sanctions regime, relies on China to buy its oil— Chinese imports are estimated to reach 1.5 million barrels in June—nearly all of which transits through the Strait of Hormuz, making it unlikely that Iran would fully block the crucial waterway.

No matter how many times I watch The Brothers’ performance at Madison Square Garden last April, I still can’t stop smiling. Derek Trucks is the best guitarist in the world—full stop. But the overall musicianship of the band isn’t far behind. I have questions: 1) When will they release a live album from the two-night stint at MSG? and 2) When will The Brothers tour?

It looks like there are no plans on either account, so we will have to smile at clips like this one
