A few weeks ago, three brave Indonesian garment workers =E2=80=93 Dinar, Le=
ni and Dedeh =E2=80=93 brought the demands of thousands of garment workers =
across South and Southeast Asia to Nike=E2=80=99s doorstep. They came in re=
presentation of Garteks, GSBI and SPN unions in Indonesia as well as over 2=
0 additional garment worker unions from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Pakist=
an, and Sri Lanka.=20

On May 28th, the workers and leaders from the Asia Floor Wage Alliance (AFW=
A) joined with allies from the Portland Association of Teachers, Oregon Edu=
cation Association, and Jobs with Justice to visit Nike=E2=80=99s World Hea=
dquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.=20

The visit to Nike World Headquarters was just the beginning of a five-city =
delegation, where the garment worker activists held actions at Nike stores =
across the country and outside the University of Oregon stadium renovated w=
ith millions in Nike profits in 2020 - the exact moment the workers faced a=
human rights crisis because their wages were slashed. The delegation also =
filed a major Joint Employer Liability wage and hour complaint on behalf of=
Nike supply chain workers, which was accepted by the Oregon Labor Commissi=
oner.=20

Labor unions and social movement organizations across the US met with the d=
elegation and saw first-hand the groundbreaking organizing and campaigning =

A few weeks ago, three brave Indonesian garment workers – Dinar, Leni and Dedeh – brought the demands of thousands of garment workers across South and Southeast Asia to Nike’s doorstep. They came in representation of Garteks, GSBI and SPN unions in Indonesia as well as over 20 additional garment worker unions from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
On May 28th, the workers and leaders from the Asia Floor Wage Alliance (AFWA) joined with allies from the Portland Association of Teachers, Oregon Education Association, and Jobs with Justice to visit Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

A few weeks ago, three brave Indonesian garment workers – Dinar, Leni and Dedeh – brought the demands of thousands of garment workers across South and Southeast Asia to Nike’s doorstep. They came in representation of Garteks, GSBI and SPN unions in Indonesia as well as over 20 additional garment worker unions from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
On May 28th, the workers and leaders from the Asia Floor Wage Alliance (AFWA) joined with allies from the Portland Association of Teachers, Oregon Education Association, and Jobs with Justice to visit Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
