** JUNE 22
------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to this week’s edition of the HYR newsletter, !
Rockets launched in both Iran and Houston over the weekend; our hometown NBA franchise has acquired Kevin Durant–an MVP, four time Olympic gold medalist, and 15 time All-Star.
Operation Midnight Hammer crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities. The Supreme Court issued a delightfully devastating blow to the transgender movement. Rioters are realizing their actions have consequences.
In Texas, the state GOP moved to tighten primary election rules, as the race for a highly contested Congressional seat ramps up.
We break it down below.

** Operation Midnight Hammer: Thirty Thousand Pounds of Diplomacy
------------------------------------------------------------
On Saturday the Pentagon executed one of the most stunning military strikes in modern American history. President Trump channeled Teddy Roosevelt: speak softly and carry a massive ordnance penetrator.
The American strikes on Iran were a master class in operational competence, as detailed ([link removed]) by General Dan Cain. The Pentagon scrambled multiple B-2 bombers to demolate Iran’s underground nuclear facilities in the dead of night.
The explosive power of our bombers ([link removed]) is staggering–each jet accurately detonated a “bunker-busting” bomb with 15 tons of payload. This was the first time B-2 stealth bombers have faced modern air defense systems, and not a single one was detected by Iran. This plane model is over 30 years old and still outclasses anything our enemies have in 2025.
Iran has already started rebuilding their nuclear facilities, and promised retribution. We’ll see (hopefully not) what “retribution” entails, but to quote ([link removed]) Sec Def Hegseth, these airstrikes should have a “clear psychological impact on how they view their future.”
President Trump told Iranian leadership that regime change is not his objective, although he suggested today on social media he hasn’t ruled it out.
In a single night the White House erased years of weakness and capitulation to Iran. The Obama-era “treaty” with Iran clearly did nothing to impede their nuclear weapons program. I wonder if Obama regrets making fun of ([link removed]) President Trump at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner?
Update: CNN is reporting House Democrats on the Intelligence Committee were not briefed on the strikes in advance, only Republicans were–which explains why the plans weren’t leaked.
** Sanity Prevails: SCOTUS Hamstrings Transgender Agenda
------------------------------------------------------------
In a 6-3 decision issued with unanimous support from Republican Justices (against unanimous opposition by Democrat Justices), the Supreme Court ruled to uphold a Tennessee state law preventing “gender affirming care” for minors.
The ruling marks a huge victory for conservatives, and a crippling defeat for liberal lunatics and morally bankrupt doctors invested in mutilating the genitals of children. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again–if by law you aren’t entrusted with voting, enlisting in the military, or legally buying alcohol, you probably shouldn’t be making irreversible and life altering decisions regarding your anatomy either.
The SCOTUS decision opens the door for other red states to implement similar laws, and couldn’t have come at a funnier time–happy LGBTQIA+π𝜟 pride month!
** Ramifications of Rioting
------------------------------------------------------------
On Monday, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced his agency will refuse to fund repairs to cities damaged by anti-ICE riots. Even better, the FBI will be working in concert with the IRS to identify and arrest the people/entities which bankrolled the LA riots and subsequent attacks on federal law enforcement.
The California state legislature has characteristically responded by introducing a bill banning the use of masks or other measures to conceal the face/identity of law enforcement officers. Similar proposals are reportedly being weighed by Congressional Democrats. Not only would these measures endanger and make it easier to dox law enforcement officers, but they are glaringly hypocritical coming from the party which was authoritarian about mask-wearing during the pandemic. Rep. Jerry Nadler [D-NY-12], a fashion icon way ahead of the curve on the high-waist pants trend ([link removed]) , publicly threw his
substantial weight behind the idea at a presser in which he desperately needed a step stool. ([link removed])
Masks are encouraged for illegal aliens and hypochondriacs by Democrats, but tools of oppression when donned by ICE. Make it make sense.
** In Other News
------------------------------------------------------------
* A man in Michigan rammed his truck into a church before opening fire on the innocent parishioners. Multiple casualties have been reported, but thankfully the assailant was shot and killed by local security. At time of writing details are still precipitating; our hearts go out to the families and friends of the victims.
* The Chinese Communist Party interfered in the 2020 ([link removed]) presidential election.
* Hard hitting reporting from the New York Times: fact checking Sec. Hegseth on gender equality. ([link removed])
* Vance Boelter, the man who assassinated the Minnesota Speaker of the House, reportedly told the FBI Gov. Tim Walz asked him to kill Sen. Amy Klobuchar [D-MN] so he could run for her seat. His suggestion may very well just be the ramblings of a murderous psycho, but also can’t be instantly dismissed given state officials are refusing to release his manifesto.
* USAID officials have pleaded guilty to a $550M corruption scheme ([link removed]) . I was reliably informed that USAID was just a humble humanitarian aid agency?
* Border wall construction in Texas, Arizona, and California has been expedited ([link removed]) by DHS Sec. Noem.
* The following sentence, tragically, is not satire, but reads like it. Taylor Lorenz, the insufferable liberal journalist publicly harboring feelings for CEO-killer Luigi Mangione, has been texting children at 3am ([link removed]) regarding ICE protests and video-game-police-brutality on Roblox.
* Sen. Alex Padilla [D-CA] took to the Senate Floor to address the elephant in the room. His speech is significantly better with background music ([link removed]) .
* A State Department employee has blown the whistle ([link removed]) on a multi-million dollar fraud scheme.
* “This is your pilot speaking. I’ve found a way to cut a couple hours from our flight time, but yall arereally going to need to buckle your seatbelts. ([link removed]) ”
* 2 bodies were discovered ([link removed]) this week in Delaware in the Murderkill River–which is close to Slaughter Beach, and a town formerly known as Whorekill. Dutch colonials maybe should have given further thought to naming these places.
* Italian PM Giorgia Meloni is clearly not a fan ([link removed]) of French President Emmanuel Macron.
** Preserving Our Primaries
------------------------------------------------------------
The Texas State Republican Executive Committee overwhelmingly voted to shore up the integrity of GOP primary elections. Republican primaries are currently open, meaning Democrats and Independent voters can weigh in on elections. The proposed change to limit primary elections to registered Republicans, which is expected to be challenged in court, would have significant repercussions regarding races at the local, state, and federal level. We’ll keep you apprised.
** Challenging Cuellar
------------------------------------------------------------
Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina is gearing up ([link removed]) to run against incumbent Congressman Henry Cuellar [D-TX-28]. Tijerina switched his political affiliation from Democrat to Republican last December. The Cuellar family is very influential in the Laredo community (his brother is a Sheriff, his sister a tax collector-assessor), but Cuellar’s district swung 14 points to the right this past election. Cuellar is seen as one of the more vulnerable members of the House Democratic Caucus in 2026, and is currently battling federal bribery and corruption charges in court. Tijerina is the top ranking county official, and in a region politically up in the air, could prove to be a heavyweight contender for Cuellar’s seat. Here’s hoping he can land a knockout punch.
