Fourth of July events offer history, art, food

Your Fourth of July can look however you want. Make it especially fun with a state park event!

If you love learning Nebraska history, visit Fort Kearny [ [link removed] ] or Fort Atkinson [ [link removed] ] for fascinating reenactments and cannon firings. Patriotic quilts [ [link removed] ] are on display at Arbor Lodge State Historical Park, and Fort Robinson's annual barbecue [ [link removed] ] is not to be missed!

We launched a new Reservation Call Center! Park guests can call a new toll-free phone number for enhanced service when making or modifying reservations.

This option offers more reservation specialists, support on weekends, a queued callback system and Spanish-language support.

It's time to beat the heat with a trip to a swimming beach, a ride on a boat or a leisurely afternoon of tubing, canoeing or kayaking. When you do, keep in mind these tips for safe water recreation. Things like swimming with a buddy, wearing a well-fitting life jacket, and staying alert to your surroundings can save a life!
