Superintendent Degenfelder continues to bring Wyoming to the conversation on the national stage. RISE Awardees Recognized
Gina Gonzalez, a paraprofessional and crosswalk guard for 23 years at Meadowlark Elementary in Buffalo, was named one of the recipients of the Wyoming Recognizing Inspirational School Employees *(RISE) Award* [ [link removed] ].
Amy Deeds, a school nurse at Pinedale Elementary, was the second recipient of the Wyoming Recognizing Inspirational School Employees *(RISE) Award* [ [link removed] ].

Participants of the Teaching and Learning Cycle PD
PD Improves EL Support
42 educators convened in Gillette for a *PD focusing on the Teaching and Learning Cycle [ [link removed] ]*. Participants explored the five key stages of the cycle: building the field, exploring language, joint construction, independent construction, and review and revision. The workshop fostered collaboration and the exchange of ideas among EL teachers, coordinators, resource teachers, paraprofessionals, instructional facilitators, content area teachers, and DLI educators from across the state.

Clark Elementary Breaks Summer Reading Record
Students at Clark Elementary, Uinta County School District #1, broke the state record for the most amount of minutes read per student in the *Governor's Summer Reading Challenge* [ [link removed] ] with 2059 minutes read per participant.
