Friend,

There are only 10 days left before we hit the deadline for our August Match* – and the stakes just got higher.

Last week, the Trump administration proposed a new rule that would allow government contractors to use any religious litmus test they want to discriminate in employment.

It’s more proof that we need the Do No Harm Act (DNHA) to make it clear that using religion to justify taxpayer-funded discrimination is ALWAYS wrong. The thing is, we’re relying on your support to advocate for this legislation.

Donate today and your matched gift will help us put the Do No Harm Act on the path to a historic victory, ensuring that no one’s religion can be used to harm others: [link removed]

Under Trump's proposed rule, a government contractor could fire someone who is LGBTQ, a religious minority, or a single mom. It is a misuse of religious freedom that would allow discrimination against millions of American workers.

The DNHA would ensure that religious freedom is used as a shield to protect, not as a sword to harm others. But our advocacy efforts are only as strong as the support behind them.

Make the most of our August Match in its final 10 days to help support the DNHA – contribute now and have your gift doubled: [link removed]

Trump and his allies aren’t letting up. Show them that we won’t either.

Thanks for all you do,

Maggie Garrett
VP of Public Policy

*Online contributions will be matched through August 31st up to a limit of $25,000. All gifts made in excess of this limit will still provide valuable funding for AU’s efforts to defend church-state separation.
