🎪 Remember when the Democratic Party was supposed to be the adults in the room? The ones that knew how to fight against fascism, worked to save the planet, and pass a bill or two without tripping over their own press conference? Cute. Now it’s 2025 and they’re still serving up beige, focus-grouped oatmeal like it’s a four-course meal, while the other side is flinging flaming meat cleavers at people lining up by the millions to catch them barehanded. It makes no sense. Yet, here we are.
🗳️ Let’s be clear: MAGA messaging is a dystopian fever dream written by ChatGPT after a concussion — but it is clear. Terrifyingly clear. They scream about freedom while banning books, weaponizing school boards while underfunding education, and lying like, well, like it’s a religion. But people hear them. They know what MAGA stands for, even if it’s violence wrapped in an American flag.
🫠 Meanwhile, Democratic messaging is … what? “We’re not them”? “Vote blue no matter who”? How is it that the party with the better ideas and the better track record of helping actual people still can’t figure out how to talk like — and talk to — real people with real problems?

💸 What the F is the Dem Party doing with all those donations? Because wow, big donors just keep cutting checks to the same old corporate leadership like it’s still 2008 and Hopey-Changey is gonna make a comeback — by giving dollars to the establishment that has not let any of that trickle down to the 99.9% of normal folks who need it. That’s a choice. They’re dumping millions into the Democratic Industrial Complex that right now couldn’t organize a pizza party in a food court.
🎤 Local organizers — you know, the ones who actually show up when there’s a wildfire or a school board coup — are scraping by on couch-cushion budgets and expired snacks, while D.C. consultants are doing strategy-by-PowerPoint for six figures and a free Metro ride.
🚫 This isn't about being ungrateful. It’s about being honest. Voters are screaming for something real — housing they can afford, wages they can live on, water that won’t kill them, rights that aren’t “pending court review.” They are begging for someone — anyone — to look them in the eye and say: I see you, and I will fight for you. And by the gods, I will mean it.
📣 Grassroots groups are doing that. Every. Single. Day. And yet, they’re constantly told by donors “maybe next cycle” while the national party launches its 800th ad campaign featuring a stock photo of a moderately concerned nurse in soft lighting.
💥 If we want to win — and by win I mean survive as a functioning democracy where women aren’t forced to beg for freedom, where queer and trans people aren’t legislated out of existence, and where Black and brown communities don’t have to do all the work for none of the credit — we need to get serious. About money. About message. About meaning it.
🧹 Stop sweeping money into the top of a party that has forgotten how to fight for the people. Start investing in the ones who never stopped.
Because while the big tent is burning, the grassroots are out here reinforcing the foundation — one community meeting, direct action, and voter conversation at a time.

PowerPAC is a social justice organization that strategically directs financial and human resources to local and state organizations working to deliver wins in legislative fights, ballot initiatives, and more. For years the money we've raised has, dollar for dollar, been given back to the communities we work with. We've made sure that your investments were being used to build power for our communities because too often we are underrepresented and ignored.
