💸 What the F is the Dem Party doing with all those donations? Because wow, big donors just keep cutting checks to the same old corporate leadership like it’s still 2008 and Hopey-Changey is gonna make a comeback — by giving dollars to the establishment that has not let any of that trickle down to the 99.9% of normal folks who need it. That’s a choice. They’re dumping millions into the Democratic Industrial Complex that right now couldn’t organize a pizza party in a food court.
Â
🎤 Local organizers — you know, the ones who actually show up when there’s a wildfire or a school board coup — are scraping by on couch-cushion budgets and expired snacks, while D.C. consultants are doing strategy-by-PowerPoint for six figures and a free Metro ride.
Â
🚫 This isn't about being ungrateful. It’s about being honest. Voters are screaming for something real — housing they can afford, wages they can live on, water that won’t kill them, rights that aren’t “pending court review.” They are begging for someone — anyone — to look them in the eye and say: I see you, and I will fight for you. And by the gods, I will mean it.
Â
📣 Grassroots groups are doing that. Every. Single. Day. And yet, they’re constantly told by donors “maybe next cycle” while the national party launches its 800th ad campaign featuring a stock photo of a moderately concerned nurse in soft lighting.
Â
💥 If we want to win — and by win I mean survive as a functioning democracy where women aren’t forced to beg for freedom, where queer and trans people aren’t legislated out of existence, and where Black and brown communities don’t have to do all the work for none of the credit — we need to get serious. About money. About message. About meaning it.
Â
🧹 Stop sweeping money into the top of a party that has forgotten how to fight for the people. Start investing in the ones who never stopped.
Because while the big tent is burning, the grassroots are out here reinforcing the foundation — one community meeting, direct action, and voter conversation at a time.
