Mercy Corps is calling for a principled humanitarian response that
protects civilian lives, safeguards aid workers, and ensures unrestricted
access to those in need.

The current volume of supplies entering Gaza is a drop in the ocean
compared to what is needed. Food, medicine, and medical equipment must be
fast-tracked, at no less than 600 trucks a day, alongside essentials like
cooking gas, fuel, clean water, and hygiene items. These are not luxuries
— they are the bare minimum for civilians to live in dignity.

Mercy Corps is currently distributing cash assistance to families in Gaza.
When we are permitted to scale up our response, we are poised to
distribute aid to more than 160,000 people and support millions more
through our humanitarian partners.
