Happy Pride, John!

What started out as a protest has since become a celebration of
visibility, resilience, and love — but it’s also a call to action. This
month, as we honor the contributions and sacrifices queer people have made
to make our country a better place for all, we must also confront a
painful truth: the LGBTQ+ community is under attack.
Donald Trump is back in the White House. Across the nation, extremist
Republican lawmakers are passing a wave of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation:
banning drag performances, targeting trans youth, banning books, and
stripping away queer folks’ humanity.
But we’re not powerless. And we aren't alone.
Several groups are leading these fights — in courts, state legislatures,
and beyond to ensure the safety of LGBTQ+ folks. And right now, they could
really use your help,

also facing similar threats. Taken together, these attacks paint a damning
picture: our rights and democracy are being threatened by an increasingly
radical right-wing that will do anything and everything to see through
their agenda.
This isn't just political theater,

attack to erase queer people from public life.
We’ve been here before. And we know that in times like these, it will take
all of us to rise up together in solidarity against the hatred, violence,
and homophobia levied at people simply for being who they are. Lives are
on the line.
Our moment to rise is now. Because Pride isn't just a
party, John —
it's a promise: A promise that we will fight for each other. A promise
that we will show up. And a promise that we will never, ever allow
ourselves to go back in time.
