This past weekend, I joined thousands in Anaheim at the California Democratic Party’s organizing convention – and I was floored by the numbers of Team Betty supporters who showed up.

I could feel a renewed energy inside and out of the convention center, with Californians of all backgrounds - some who will vote for the first time with our race - descending on Orange County to demand bold, fresh ideas for their future.

And they’re right: the time for the status quo is long gone.

What happens in California’s gubernatorial race will have a major hand in the direction of our state (and the rest of the country) for decades to come.

And it’s my promise to you that I will fight for working families, restore and protect our freedoms, and make our state add up for everyone.
